Ever wondered what The Old Town would look like from 50 storeys high? Well, now you don’t have to. This photo was taken from the top of the TV Tower, the tallest building in Estonia, proud member of the World Federation of Great Towers (yeah, I had no idea that existed either) and my favourite building in Tallinn.
After its sexy makeover and grand-re-opening in 2012 this was my first, and indeed only, trip up the express elevator into ‘UFO-esque’ observation centre. With its space ship interior, glass portholes and terrifying Edge Walk (not-yet-opened on my visit) this other-worldy structure continues to provide guests with a truly unique perspective on the city.
Forget to bring your camera and it’s a long way back down to retrieve it.
